Richard became Executive Chairman of Evestia Clinical in December 2024 upon its initial investment in the acquisition of EMAS Pharma. His previous experience includes over 12 years in the pharmaceutical services sector, serving as Chief Financial Officer at Chiltern International Ltd, a leading global mid-tier privately-owned CRO, from 2013 to 2018, and as Chief Financial Officer at Ergomed plc, a UK-listed CRO company, from 2019 to 2023.
Richard began his career with KPMG and is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants and also has a bachelor’s degree in modern languages. He has more than 30 years’ experience at Chief Financial Officer level in the healthcare, technology and business services sectors in US multinational companies as well as in UK-listed and private equity-backed businesses. He worked for Glaxo SmithKline for a number of years in the UK and Europe, and has also held roles as Chief Executive Officer, Chairman, and Audit Committee Chairman at various UK-listed companies. He has also served as a Board member of an NHS Foundation Trust.
