Dr Laura Vidal is a board-certified Medical Oncologist based near Barcelona, Spain, who brings over 20 years of experience across both clinical and academic settings. Living close to the Mediterranean Sea, she combines her professional excellence with a strong personal interest in health, longevity, and wellbeing.
Throughout her career, she has served as a clinical trial investigator in Barcelona, London and Toronto, contributing extensively to the advancement of innovative therapies. She has deep expertise in Clinical Drug Development, with a strong focus on early-phase clinical trials, and is specialized in Gynecologic Oncology. She is also a recognized subject matter expert in Immuno-Oncology, biomarker development, and radioligand therapies, reflecting her commitment to advancing precision medicine and cutting-edge science. Notably, she completed a thesis in oncolytic viruses at the University of London, further strengthening her foundation in innovative therapeutic approaches. Though her significant expertise lies within oncology, she has as well been involved in non-oncology indications such as immunology, dermatology, and metabolic disorders.
In addition to her clinical and scientific background, she holds a Master’s degree in Bioethics and Law, bringing valuable perspective to complex medical, ethical, and regulatory considerations. She brings extensive understanding of the CRO landscape across medical, operational, and commercial domains, having held senior medical, commercial, and leadership roles at leading CROs including Syneos Health and Fortrea. She is a member and volunteer at the Health Business Association (HBA) Barcelona Chapter and co-founder of the Asociación Helping Cáncer in Barcelona.
